Training for Archaeologists

I have trained many archaeologists in a variety of survey techniques both in terms of landscape prospection and interpretation, and in the use and maintenance of survey equipment. If you, your team or your local intererst/community group would like to engage in survey training - I can help!

Based in Sheffield

Magpie Surveying is based in Sheffield in the UK, the majority of our work takes place in this region particularly the Peak District National Park. However I have worked all over the country and would be happy to travel further for the right work!

Publication and Social engagement

I have run a number of tours of historic and archaeological sites in the past, as well as presenting several times at the Derbyshire Archaeology Day and making an appearance on Digging for Britain! Magpie Surveying is dedicated to further engagement with the public on all levels and will look for any further opportunities to engage as they arrive.
